When I received the announcement that my cousin was pregnant I cried. And then immediately called her screaming, “I’m so excited!!!”. After 6 1/2 years of trying to have a baby – surgeries, diet changes, and unfortunately miscarriages – my amazing older cousin and her wonderful husband were FINALLY having their first baby – a rainbow baby.
Their beautiful baby boy was born on February 1st of this year and become a beacon of light and hope in our family.
During that initial congratulatory phone call, my cousin told me she wanted me to do a maternity session for them and she wanted it to be super original and creative. After some brainstorming I came up with this idea & love the outcome:
Using a projector and the final hour of daylight, we created this image in my living room.
I’ve never seen an image like this before, so it was fun to experiment for an hour or so and create something amazing. Now that “rainbow baby” is born, I can finally share these images. <3
