This week my cousins son turned ONE year old! I got to celebrate from afar and see photos on social media of his family celebration, which got me thinking…. It’s been a year and I haven’t blogged about their amazing maternity session yet. Yikes!!

What made their maternity session so amazing?

Well…. 1. First of all, my cousin and her husband are AWESOME and I got to spend an evening with them. 2. It was PEAK FOLIAGE season so the backgrounds were incredible! 3. Their maternity session had a book theme to a portion of it and I just LOVE when my clients (in this case: family) choose to incorporate their interests into their portrait sessions.

So lets get into it!

Danielle and Bob’s portrait session took place on a beautiful fall day – warm, bright, gorgeous leaf colors – and it was at one of my favorite north jersey locations. I’m so glad that they trusted me to choose this location in Saddle River County Park. It’s a large park but there’s a specific/obscure section of it that is full of trees oh-so-perfectly spaced apart and when families from Northern NJ and Bergen County ask me to do a portrait session near their home I always suggest it.

They wore perfect outfits to match the foliage – Bob in a fall colored flannel and Danielle in a gorgeous flowing green dress. And we did an outfit change for a more casual look later in the night.

Since they’re both book worms they brought along some adorable baby books that were gifted to them at their shower from our cousin Brianna.

HIGHLIGHT REEL

Wishing a very Happy FIRST Birthday to little Connor. It’s been so fun watching you grow and spending time with you in Upstate NY. Can’t wait to catch frogs with you in the creek this summer!
