There is so much to say about 2020… Where to begin??

I’d like to focus on the positives only, so lets start with some big wins this year: I think many of us have shared experiences in increased family time, more emphasis on intentionally connecting with others, getting back into some of life’s simpler pleasures, learning new technology and how to apply it to your professional and personal life, the discovery of grocery delivery (OMG – amazing!), and a desire to spend even more time outdoors.

2020 made me aware of how much I enjoy puzzles, challenged me to learn how to “relax”, gave me a greater appreciation for the time I get to spend with others, made me more present in everyday life, and gave me many extra weekends at my cabin in upstate NY, that otherwise would have been spent working. I was very thankful for the extra time there!

This year I connected with a few new families and had the honor of capturing more memories for the families I photograph year after year; we welcomed new babies together, captured birthday milestones, celebrated pregnancies, and created portraits for Christmas cards… I am continuously grateful for all your support and your trust in me to capture your family heirlooms. There is no greater pleasure for me. Thank you!

I am THRILLED to share with you this selection of 2020 highlights. Enjoy. And don’t forget to scroll to the bottom for the blooper reel!

{Best Memories of 2020}

Meeting my best friends baby for the first time with camera in hand was such an amazing experience. Creating this photo with their pups was the most memorable part! Not seen: Me straddling my best friend to get the right angle, her mother-in-law and our other best friend holding the dogs back by the collar so they don’t get TOO close to the baby. It was a fun and chaotic 20 seconds!!

Skipping rocks with this family was so much fun!

When I told Aakash to kiss his wife on the cheek, the youngest sister thought I was talking to her and leaned over to give her sister a kiss. SOOOO CUTE!! This is one of my favorite images from their family session.

Interacting with these boys was great! They were so funny and I think they had a great time throwing leaves at me just seconds before this photo was taken!

Celebrating Jenalie’s Sweet 16 with her in Jersey City! I’ve known her since she was 10 or younger (from photographing parties for her Aunt and Uncle) and getting to see her all grown up and in such a beautiful gown to celebrate her birthday was amazing!

Photographing my own family was my favorite part though! Above is my Aunt and Uncles family and below are my brother and sister-in-law. Love you all to pieces and am so happy we were able to create these family memories together this year!
