During the month of March I decided that I would do a mix of cell phone photography and DSLR work.

This month started out rough, with me missing a photograph on the 1st day. So March 1st is non existent, but March 2nd came with a bang.

Tiffanys30th-122

March 2. Tiffany’s 30th Birthday Party. This is my favorite action shot of the night.

March 3

March 3. My Birthday. This is the first year in 27 years that I did not have a birthday cake baked for me. Instead, I ate these delicious birthday pancakes at the Double S! Short Stack of pancakes with fresh strawberries and nutella that YES, I added butter and syrup to. YUM!

March 4

March 4. I think this is my favorite piece of interior decor.

March 5

March 5. My shadow.

March 6

March 6. From the boss man.

March 7

March 7. I’ve had a concept for a new personal project for quite some time. The specifics are secret. Today I found a lens hood for the cheap that would be perfect to assist me in this project so I bought it and went home to practice. Although I’ve had this idea for quite a while I have been unsure if it would actually work. This shot is a *test* shot to see if it would work and through trial and error I have succeeded – now all I need is to flatten out some core concepts and some technical stuff then actually do the project. (YAY! Happy Dance!)

March 8

March 8. A tasting in the smallest glass ever! SO cute!

March 9

March 9. Alex bought me Railroad Earth tickets for my birthday and this is a photo from the show. I’ve seen this band more than any other band – approx. 15 times and this was the BEST show I’ve ever seen. They were incredible. Alex & I had a blast! THANKS, GIRL!

March 10 - 2 March 10 - 1

March 10. Today you get a double whammy. Ryan told me today that he has never seen me more excited in his life. We bought chickens from Tractor Supply and I was squealing with excitement the whole ride home with them in my lap and then played with them all night. I love these little ladies.

March 11

March 11. An example of what night time means to me.

March 12

March 12. Today I drove up to my house and saw that there was a package in my mailbox. …but I haven’t ordered anything online recently…  In my confusion I realized I had a SURPRISE gift waiting for me! Of course it was sopping wet and crinkly, but it was from ETSY! I was so super excited. I opened it up to find the coolest gift ever. THANK YOU, PAULIE!

March 13

March 13. I used to have an obsession with making dream catchers. This was my very first one. I love all the charms on it.

March 14

March 14. My new dress. Tonight, we went to see the Brummy Brothers at Court Tavern. They were as amazing as always.

March 15. Sadly, this is another one of those days that I just somehow forgot to photograph. You’d think by now this is becoming routine… ?? Nope.

March 16

March 16. One of my babies! Today Ryan and I framed the chicken coop. We have less than a month to build it – these girls are getting big, fast!

March 17

March 17. Happy St. Patricks Day!

March 18

March 18. ASPARAGUS!! (’nuff said.)

March 19. Once again, I had a slip up. March is a bad month for this.

March 20

March 20. The restaurant I work at is always decorated with gorgeous bouquets of flowers. Recently the flower of choice has been tulips. I think they’re SO PRETTY! This particular plant sits on the shelf overlooking the kitchen and I thought this was a bittersweet image of this flower perked up soaking up the “sun”, which is really just an overhead light from the ceiling. The soft glow of this fake sunshine lit up the petals for a really beautiful effect. I had to capture it.

March 21

March 21. This is a shot from a project I am tentatively calling, “Passenger Perspectives”. You should have seen the get-up I had in my car to capture this and the others from the series. haha

March 22

March 22. One of my favorite things about my boyfriend is that he plays me banjo tunes every night before bed.

March 23

March 23. Tonight was the Hamburg Fire Department Installation Dinner. Ryan and I had a lot of fun – Try to ignore the amount of empty wine glasses on the table… These little dudes were the center pieces and I thought they were cute.

March 24

March 24. ‘Coopin it up. The new weekend tradition. Here’s Ryan keeping busy while I photograph. Note the framed coop in the background. <3

March 25

March 25. A shot from the Kaleidoscope Series. This photo was taken at Plastoids – those of you from Sussex know where I mean. If you like this photo, check out the other released photos in this series on the HPalecek Photography Facebook Page.

March 26

March 26. This is Nina. She is the most kind-hearted person I know. She is so genuine!

March 27

March 27. Straight up Elmira. Remember her from Animaniacs?! “I will hug you and squeeze you and kiss you and love you……” and then there’s Bagheerah all like, “MOM! If you don’t put me down….” with her super unhappy, “grumpy cat” face.

March 28

March 28. Happy Birthday to my littlest brother, Tom! We went on a photo adventure today and I shot some photos of his favorite shoes. Look at how worn out they are!

March 29

March 29. I’m up at my moms house for the weekend. This is Duke. Anytime my mom is cooking in the kitchen he is right behind her watching and waiting just incase anything falls on the floor.

March 30

March 30. Today was a good day. It was the girls first day outside playing in the yard. They were a little unsure of what to do so they just huddled around near each other and chirped. Super-Cute. Also… Notice how large they’ve gotten since the 10th of this month when we bought them… Absolutely Incredible.

March 31

March 31. There are always subtle reminders of how much I’m loved. Even now at 11:00pm on a Sunday night while I write up this blog post. If you don’t know what this RAWR means, click here.

I have decided that the month of April is going to be lens baby month. ch-yea! super excited about this coming month & hope you are too! <3

As always, thanks for the support, love, positive vibes and awesome comments you leave me after each month. I hope that skipping three days this month doesn’t make me too much of a disappointment for y’all because believe me – if it wasn’t for your support I would have given up on this project a while ago. It’s more difficult than it seems, but it’s also very rewarding.
