I had the pleasure of photographing a Baptism reception for the most loving family and the most adorable little girl. This celebration was family oriented, filled with laughter and love and so much fun to photograph!

Thank you so much, Nicole & Danny, for inviting me to photograph your daughters big day!

There are so many things to talk about and so many images to share, but ya know what? I’m starting with shoes. Yes, shoes. I had no idea how into baby fashion I was until I laid my eyes on these. Holy Shamoley, these things are adorable!

…and here’s the rest of her outfit…

When I first got to Biagio’s in Paramus, NJ I started photographing the decor. There were these super cute center pieces which were vase’s with flowers decorated in ribbon. Each table had it’s own variety of pinks, whites and greens.

Remember how I said the party was family oriented? I thought this was an EXCELLENT idea. In the corner they had a play table reserved for kids to hang out at which was eventually covered in coloring sheets, crayons, matchbox cars, etc. The kids crowded around it all night (when they weren’t dancing) and it kept them occupied so that the party could last longer. What a great idea!!

Speaking of kids… There were so many adorable little faces running around all night!

Halfway through the celebration the DJ got everyone playing games…NJ-Event-Photographer

First they played a game called ‘Lemonade’ in which each person was a lemon and he would call out a number of lemons that were needed to make a glass of lemonade. If he called out “three!”, then everyone would have to get into groups of three as quickly as possible and whoever was left out with less than three in their group was kicked out of the game.

Then of course there is the freeze game. Everyone dances until the music stops and whoever doesn’t freeze or can’t stand still is out.

…and probably the most hysterical game of the night was this one. I can’t even remember the name of it! It was similar to musical chairs in which there was one less chair than the amount of players. Instead of walking in circles around the chairs until the music stopped the DJ would yell out an item and each kid would have to run to find that item and bring it back to a chair. The last person to get the item was chair-less and therefore, out. Some of these items included lipstick, a master card and even a mans sock!!

What was best about this game was the ending. There were two small children who’s parents had a large part in helping them each try to win. The parents were running to get the items and give them to their child first as they both stayed seated patiently waiting for the item to be handed to them. It was hysterical! This is probably my favorite image of the night – these two ladies in competition, and of course the little guys face!!

Let me tell you this family knows how to have fun.

Towards the end of the night, the DJ prompted everyone to create this:

Naomi Baptism-279

Yes, this is true. …and it is awesome!

Besides all of the games and fun, the one thing that stood out the most to me was the love that this family shared. It shined through everyone and was given especially to Naomi, as this was her special day – her Baptism.

Here are a few photos that show some of that love…

..This little girl is going to grow up with a great support system, her loving family.

Here she is with her Parents and her Godparents, and during the champagne toast made in her honor.

Cheers to you, Naomi. May you be loved and blessed all the days of your life!

Once again, Thank You to Nicole, Danny and the rest of your friends & family for inviting me to share and photograph this wonderful day!
