I want to wish a very happy birthday to this little lady – She turns ONE today! To celebrate her birthday in style, we came up with a personalized session based on her favorite thing in the world: Curious George!

…now when I say favorite, I mean it! Her mom told me that her first word was “George”. How cute is that?! So needless to say, she was super excited about the studio setup I created for her using her favorite stuffed animals and colors from the famous books and show.

I created banners of green, blue, red, and yellow to match her adorable custom dress, which can be found on etsy. I die every time I see her little smile! Love her!

I always love to photograph one year olds on a very simple backdrop, without props, to start off a session. I gradually add in props and chairs every few minutes to change up the scenery and keep my little models occupied and interested. Sticking with the theme of this session, I chose to get a crate of bananas as our prop! It turned out awesome!

She loved playing with her Curious George police officer stuffed animal – her favorite one. Just like her dad. <3

The first image below is her kissing him. How cute!!

After we made a banana mess in the studio it was time to head outdoors and fly a kite based off of my favorite C.G. book when I was a kid in which he flies a yellow and white kite! <3
